EDIT: So a few tweaks, and I have sent her in, there are some amazing entries already, so it's gonna be a tough one this year!
Crawls out from under a huge rock.....for another pageant!!!
Seems like the only thing that can make me doll are pageants, but there ya go!
So I decided I would actually try MDI again this year, mainly because the rounds are au inspired, and different this year, and as soon as I aw them so many outfit popped into my head. So this is my WIP for Miss Italy, still plenty of time until the deadline so will be tweaking lots, and there is also a version without the fishnet, can't decide if they are too much of a fishy cliche!
The dress is based upon a Siamese fighting fish, I know it's quite abstract, but I hope it is fishy enough. Anyway, please CC away, want to get this one right!

I didn't look at other entries purposefully until halfway through mine and your entry made me go "dammit!" in all the best possible ways. (Including mutual use of fishnets xD)
I think the dress is phenomenal. I love the crispness of the details, it really makes me "feel" the sharpness of the folds and I love how it curves round the form and the red was the perfect choice matching with the portrait lips. Stunning work!
